Bob and James,

Thanks for your superb effort on the Science Center Addition Program. Your work was timely, effective, and within a very reasonable budget. This information will serve Southern Utah University well as we pursue this very important project to upgrade and improve critical educational lab space.

As in the past, I’ve appreciated working with you and your professional approach to a very time sensitive assignment. Your work was begun as soon as the selection was made public and your tireless work has been well received by those you worked with in the College of Science . Your effort accentuates the needs surrounding a rapidly growing student population that will use such a facility. This program provides the kind of guidance that will be invaluable in the design phase.

Please accept our thanks for a job well done.

- David F. Tanner, Associate Vice President, Southern Utah University

It is with great pleasure that I write a recommendation for the Eaton Architecture firm as an outstanding company to be considered for any architectural and construction projects. As the CEO of the Utah Navajo Health Systems, I was involved with the Monument Valley Health Center project from the development of design, selection of construction company and every step of the construction and completion process. Bob Eaton and his crew including James Knight were very efficient, knowledgeable and easy to work with. They took our operational concerns into consideration and involved our organization in the planning and evaluation of any necessary changes. The Eaton organization is professional, considerate, courteous, and produces an amazing design and extremely functional facility. Other organizations are very impressed with the Monument Valley Health Center design both exterior and interior. We highly recommend this company for your own architectural needs.

- Donna Singer, CEO, Utah Navajo Health System

Southeastern Utah Museum of the West

For a number of years I have looked forward to establishing a special museum to tell the story of Southeastern Utah. Over the past decade I have worked to acquire land where the headquarters of Southeastern Utah Museum of the West would be established. Each time we studied a piece of land near highway 191 adjacent to Blanding and were close to closing, something would happen to frustrate the effort.  Last summer a parcel of 2 acres came up for sale. It was adjacent to the Blanding Visitors Center and just a half  block from the main highway though Blanding. Our Museum Board felt this to be an ideal spot and went ahead and were successful in purchasing the two acres.

As we visited with Joe Hurst, owner and a manger of Tri-Hurst Construction, he suggested we contact Bob Eaton of Eaton Architecture in Salt Lake. Bob introduced us to his chief assistant James Knight. James and Bob have been most helpful to help put our ideas in visual form for our main building and future museum complex. They have listened to us carefully and have been most professional in helping  to bring to life a conceptual plan that will be a great asset to the future development of Blanding and Southeastern Utah. We feel the building design is both beautiful and will help provide functional space to accomplish the following: 1. tell the story of the Indians, Cowboys, Pioneers, and of the land itself of San Juan County,  and 2. Provide an art center to encourage the visual creativity.
